Dorothée Duntze was born in 1960 in Reims, France. She studied at the École des Beaux Arts in Reims and at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg. In 1982 her work at the Children’s Book Fair in Bologna was awarded the »Premio Critici in erba« prize. Dorothée Duntze is internationally known for her expressive fairy-tale illustrations.
